July 21, 2020
Source: Collaborative on Health Reform and Independent Living (CHRIL)
A new report from a national survey of Centers for Independent Living (CILs) states that the COVID-19 pandemic is having a serious effect on medical and support services for people with disabilities.
The Collaborative on Health Reform and Independent Living (CHRIL), in partnership with the IL-NET National Training and Technical Assistance Center for Independent Living at ILRU and the National Council on Independent Living (NCIL), conducted a national survey of Centers for Independent Living (CILs) to assess the impact of the pandemic and the impact of local, state, and federal policy actions on people with disabilities. There were 144 survey responses completed between April and June 2020. For additional resources and a summary of the survey, go to https://www.chril.org/covid19.
