National Disability Institute Releases Financial Education Reference Guides

November 15, 2017
Source: National Disability Institute (NDI)

National Disability Institute (NDI), in collaboration with Wells Fargo Hands on BankingŪ, has released quick reference and disability supplemental guides that complement the Hands on Banking instructor guides for adults, young adults and entrepreneurs. Guide topics include employment, work supports, money management and other items relevant to developing financial capability.

Hands on Banking is a free, fun, non-commercial financial education program available in both English and Spanish that teaches people, in all stages of life, about the basics of responsible money management, including how to create a budget, save and invest, borrow responsibly, buy a home and establish a small business.

The new guides are designed to provide financial educators, American Job Centers, Vocational Rehabilitation and community-based organizations access to resources and tools specifically for persons with disabilities.
