Justice Department Reaches Voluntary ADA Compliance Agreement with the City of Pinson, Alabama

The U.S. Attorneys Office for the Northern District of Alabama completed a compliance review of public facilities used by the City of Pinson, Alabama to determine whether those facilities were maintained and operated in compliance with Title II of the ADA, and the Justice Department conducted an architectural survey of several facilities utilized by the City.

Based on its review of the City's programs, services, activities, and facilities, the Department of Justice has concluded that qualified individuals with disabilities are, by reason of such disabilities, excluded from participation in or are denied the benefits of certain City programs, services, or activities in violation of Title II of the ADA.
