Join @ePolicyWorks for 6/27 Twitter Chat on Citizen Engagement

June 22, 2017
Source: U.S. Department of Labor, Office of Disability Employment Policy (ODEP)

To encourage two-way communication between federal agencies and citizens, ePolicyWorks invites you to participate in our Twitter chat, "#EPWEngage: Engaging Citizens for Effective Policymaking," on Tuesday, June 27 from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. ET. This interactive conversation features special guest Bernetta Reese, Digital Manager at the U.S. Department of Agriculture, who will discuss citizen engagement and its role in effective policymaking. Through this event, ePolicyWorks is seeking to gather insights on best practices and ideas for engaging citizens in the policy development process to improve government services and user experience.

The chat will draw upon lessons learned in citizen engagement from ePolicyWorks online dialogues, such as the YouthACT dialogue, the result of an online dialogue hosted in collaboration with the U.S. Department of Labors Office of Disability Employment Policy (ODEP) Youth Team and the National Collaborative on Workforce and Disability for Youth (NCWD/Youth) targeting youth and young adults with disabilities to discuss what they need in order to become successful adults.

Participants can join this real-time Twitter conversation by following and tagging their posts with the hashtag #EPWEngage.
