Center for Inclusive Design and Innovation (CIDI), Access GA

This webinar is being offered through AccessGA, a joint initiative of the State ADA Coordinator’s Office – Georgia State Financing and Investment Commission, and the Georgia Institute of Technology’s Center for Inclusive Design & Innovation.

Please join us for this webinar as we hear from three Georgia citizens with varying disabilities sharing a definition of their disability, along with their personal experiences as they have navigated throughout their day-to-day life, education and employment settings. Far from being a weakness, people with disabilities often offer unique perspectives and understanding that can add tremendous value to a workplace and the people around them. In this presentation, you will be learning the definitions and various nuances of legal blindness, dyslexia, and Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). Each of the presenters will be addressing barriers they have encountered in their own life (both attitudinal and environmental), along with specific tips and tools that have allowed them to make the necessary adaptations to function at an optimal level.
