Aequus Technologies [www.aequustechnologies.com] develops technology products and services for people with disabilities. The Company’s primary line of business is Snap Video Relay Services [www.snapvrs.com], which provides American Sign Language (ASL) interpreting over the Internet through the use of advanced video phone technologies. Snap became a nationally certified video relay provider through the Federal Communication Commissions Telecommunications Relay Services (TRS) Fund in 2006. The TRS fund is intended to provide functionally equivalent phone service to segments of the US population that can not gain effective access to existing telecom systems and networks.

Richard is the Company’s Founder and Executive Chairman, leading its strategic direction and business development activities. Richard has a long history in disability-related initiatives. He has served the Chairperson of the Business Advisory Council for three federally- and foundation-funded training programs, all of which assist adults with disabilities in gaining new job skills through training and enabling effective transitions to the work place. Currently, Richard serves as the Co-Chair for the Kessler Foundation funded EmployME! Program [http://cpe.njit.edu/employme/], which operates out of the New Jersey Institute of Technology. Richard also serves as a Director and Treasurer of the Abilities Fund [www.abilitiesfund.org/], a national non-profit focused exclusively on expanding entrepreneurial opportunities, including access to capital, for people with disabilities. Richard lives in Montville, NJ with his wife, Jennifer, two sons, Ryan and Luke, and his two Labrador retrievers, Ozzie and Gracie.
