June 14, 2016
Source: Partnership on Employment & Accessible Technology (PEAT)

The U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) is considering revising the rules implementing Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). The agency is looking at establishing accessibility requirements for online services, programs, and activities provided to the public by state and local governments including many employment-related tools and resources.

For people wanting to read a more in-depth summary and analysis of the DOJ Supplemental Advance Notice of Proposed Rulemaking before commenting, the Partnership on Employment & Accessible Technology (PEAT) has prepared a policy brief that provides an overview of DOJs questions and the topics on which they would like comments from the public. You can submit comments to DOJ until Monday, August 8, 2016.
