October 19, 2015

To prepare for successful entry into the workforce, youth with disabilities like many young people discover their employment potential through trusted relationships with more experienced peers and adults. Recently, the National Disability Mentoring Coalition honored leaders who have demonstrated a commitment to advancing such opportunities at the inaugural Susan M. Daniels Disability Mentoring Hall of Fame. In honor of the 25th anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act, the first set of inductees includes 25 distinguished individuals, among them Deputy Assistant Secretary of Labor for Disability Employment Policy Jennifer Sheehy. The Hall of Fame honors the legacy of Dr. Susan M. Daniels, who devoted her life and career to improving the lives of others with disabilities, mentoring hundreds along the way.
