FCC Disability Advisory Committee to Host Summit and Exhibition on Cognitive and Intellectual Disabilities

The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) Disability Advisory Committee will host a Summit on the communication needs of people with cognitive and intellectual disabilities. The Summit will include panels of subject matter experts that include: (1) Communication Technologies for Independent Living; (2) Emergency Preparedness/Living in the Community; and (3) Ensuring and Funding Access to Equipment, Training and Broadband. An Exhibition of assistive technologies will be held during the Summit. The meeting is open to the public. The Summit will be streamed live with open captioning over the Internet from the FCCs web page at www.fcc.gov/live. Those watching the live video stream of the event may e-mail event-related questions to email@example.com.
Sign language interpreters, open captioning and assistive listening devices will be provided on site. Other reasonable accommodations for people with disabilities are available upon request. Last minute requests will be accepted, but may be impossible to fulfill.
