December 9, 2014
Source: U.S. Office of Personnel Management (OPM)

The U.S. Office of Personnel Management (OPM) has released the Fiscal Year (FY) 2013 Employment of People with Disabilities in the Federal Executive Branch Report. Highlights include:

  • At no point in the past 33 years have people with disabilities been hired at a higher percentage than in FY 2013.
  • People with targeted disabilities are also being hired at a higher percentage now than at any time in the past 18 years.
  • This success has led to more people with disabilities in Federal service both in real terms and by percentage than at any time in the past 33 years.

As OPM Director Archuleta said, "Because of the hard work and dedication of Federal employees and the disability community, we have made outstanding progress toward meeting the Presidents goal."
