Dogs Rescued, Trained to Change the Lives of People with Disabilities

October 19, 2012
Source: Daytona Beach News-Journal

Dottie is a "social butterfly" who brings Brandon Berman out of his shell and helps him make new friends. She also provides some loving licks to his face that can bring him out of a seizure.

Dottie is a 3-year-old mutt, possibly with a little hound in her, who has been trained as a service dog to accompany the 14-year-old Port Orange boy. Brandon is autistic and has also been diagnosed with a sleep disorder.
