Description:
Please join us for the first 4th Thursday ADA talk of 2021 on January 28 at 10:00 am (EST). We will be exploring “The Americans with Disabilities Act in a COVID-19 World" with special guest presenter Pam Williamson, Assistant Director, Southeast ADA Center.
In March 2020, the world turned upside down when the World Health Organization (WHO) declared COVID-19 to be a worldwide pandemic. Nearly one year later, people with disabilities continue to be severely impacted by the pandemic in the areas of employment, access to medical care, and obtaining services from private businesses. Southeast ADA Center staff have responded to over 400 requests for information about COVID-19 and how the Americans with Disabilities Act applies to these situations. Join us for the ADA Talk as we discuss several frequently asked questions and how to apply the ADA in a COVID-19 world.
