When tornado warnings or hurricane evacuation orders are issued it is too late to plan for a disaster. A little preparation beforehand makes a big difference when disaster strikes. This workshop will provide participants with the tools, guidance, and techniques necessary to assist the individuals they serve with emergency preparedness and planning. Through large and small group discussions and activities, participants will have the opportunity to share their ideas about disaster planning and learn from one another. Participants will be given the easy-to-follow Get Ready Tool Kit that they can use to assist their individuals in developing their plans.
