FCC Creates Database Registry of 911 Call Centers That Can Now Receive Text to 911 Messages

An FCC database registry lists 911 Call Centers, also known as Public Safety Answering Points (PSAPs), that are now ready to receive text-to-911 messages. Each PSAP is identifiable by identification (ID) number, name, county, primary point of contact and other information.

To be listed in the centralized database, 911 authorities or PSAPs must submit the PSAP Text-to-911 Readiness and Certification Form to provide information on each PSAP that is ready to accept texts at:
