New Study "Priced Out in 2014" on Housing Affordability for People with Disabilities

June 12, 2015
Source: Technical Assistive Collaborative (TAC)

The Consortium for Citizens with Disabilities (CCD) Housing Task Force, along with the Technical Assistance Collaborative (TAC), released a new study on housing for people with disabilities - "Priced Out in 2014." The study calculates the difference between what an individual receiving Supplemental Security Income (SSI) can reasonably afford to pay for housing costs and the average cost of modest housing units. The study confirms that non-elderly adults with disabilities living on SSI confront an enormous housing affordability gap across the entire nation.
