Justice Department Signs Consent Decree with South Carolina Department of Corrections

The U.S. Department of Justice has announced an agreement with the South Carolina Department of Corrections and its Director to integrate inmates with HIV into the general population, address the conditions of confinement for such inmates, and provide equal opportunity to participate in and benefit from a variety of services, programs, and activities. The agreement was filed today in the U.S. District Court for the District of South Carolina, pending court approval.
