The Office of Student Disability Services at Clemson University helps more than 700 students manage problems ranging from blindness to attention deficity disorder.
The office carefully evaluates requests and assists students in seeking accommodations from professors. "Everything we do is data-driven," said Arlene Stewart, director of student disability services. "Everything we do is individualized. We may have five students with the exact same accommodation but all for different reasons."
